Klainers Helping Klainers Through Charity
Last week, Klainers won a charity auction for Glee’s Extraordinary Merry Christmas script in order to finally know what occurred during this scene:
We won the script for $2,950, but raised $4,200!
We just got off the phone with the lovely Mr. Hall, Director of Development and Communications at Project Angel Food. Not only are they overjoyed about our efforts, but Mr. Hall is a Gleek and wait for it…a Klainer! That’s right, he’s one of us! He even invited us to come tour the facilities!
As a local charity, every single dollar we raise goes right into their kitchen to help feed people living with HIV/AIDS and other life threatening illnesses.

Klainers for Project Angel Food
Thanks to a generous friend of Project Angel Food, the Glee script containing The Box Scene was auctioned off to support the charity. As many of you now know, Klainers came together and raised $4,200 for this incredible charity and won the auction.
Many have expressed dismay that they did not find out about this effort until after Klainers had won. Due to this and our desire to raise as much money for charity as possible, we are reopening donations until Friday, May 25.
Due to the overwhelming generosity of the Klaine fandom, we raised $1,250 more than we ultimately needed to win. We are planning to send in the excess funds to Project Angel Food as a gift from the Klaine fandom.
Please donate and help us send an even larger gift of thanks for their generosity and in support of the incredible work they do to nourish the bodies and minds of children and adults affected by HIV/AIDS, Cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Project Angel Food
The charity that is benefitting from the script auction is Project Angel Food. It’s a great organization. For those of you who are not familiar with it, here is their mission:
Project Angel Food’s mission is to nourish the body and spirit of men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, Cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Volunteers and staff cook and deliver free and nutritious meals prepared with love throughout Los Angeles County, acting out of a sense of urgency because hunger and illness do not wait. We deliver more than 13,000 meals every week to people in need.
